STAYNER - Police say that around 4 p.m. on Mon., May 10 they responded to an assault at Stayner Collegiate Institute.An OPP investigation revealed a 17-year-old male assaulted a 15-year-old male. Upon learning of the incident, school staff notified police. Both males left the school before police arrived but the 17-year-old was located the following day off school property and arrested. He was charged with assault and will appear in Collingwood court Aug. 5. The youth cannot be identified due to stipulations in the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
